Tuukka’s in a lot of Trouble

It’s been a while since I’ve updated what is going on.

With September starting to wrap up and we are getting the leaves changing going into October, Summer is officially over.  Leigh and the girls have now been in school for a month and Jessica is doing very well in Middle School.  Leigh has quite a few challenging students as usual, but she is able to handle them.  I have still been producing the Vlogs and have added dash-cam videos to the mix, which seem to be doing OK.

The dogs are a different story though.  We are not able to leave them out without having the trashcan spread throughout the house.  They have never done this before Leigh and the girls have gone back to school this year.  I don’t know whether it is they are pissed off because the girls are not with them all day or if there is some other problem.

We have tried punishing them, locking them up and screaming at them and nothing seems to work with them.  I am at the point of sending Tuukka back to Save a Lab, he is not learning and I seriously think that there is something mentally wrong with this dog, there is something that is just not right with him.

We are now going to lock him in his cage when he is not supervised and go from there.  The problem with locking him in his cage is that he has figured out how to get out of it, seriously!  We lock him in the cage at night before we go to bed and when we get up in the morning, he is sleeping on the couch.  We determined that he figured out how to unlatch the door to get out.  Knowing this, I went and used some clamps to keep the door closed, even if the latches are opened.  That night, I latched the door and clipped on the clamps and went to bed, when I woke up in the morning, he was sleeping on the couch!!!  The clamps that were attached to his crate were still there!!!  The only thing that I can think is that he figured out how to pop the top off of the cage and got out that way.  Now, mind you, the top would only allow about 3-4 inches of clearance for him to squeeze through, which he did.

Does anyone have any suggestions?  I don’t want to keep him locked up all day, but I am not going to allow him to destroy the house…  Let me know if anyone else has any ideas
