Tuukka’s in a lot of Trouble

It’s been a while since I’ve updated what is going on. With September starting to wrap up and we are getting the leaves changing going into October, Summer is officially over.  Leigh and the girls have now been in school for a month and Jessica is doing very well in Middle School.  Leigh has quite a few challenging students as usual, but she is able to handle them.  I have still been producing the Vlogs and have added dash-cam videos to the mix, which seem to be doing OK.

My Wishlist

For those of you know me, I proudly categorize  myself as a Technogeek.  I love technology.  Anything new and cutting edge, I am interested. On Father’s Day, Leigh and the girls got me a quadcopter with a camera on it.  I had been looking at them, and had wanted one so I was very happy to receive this as a gift.  I started flying it and I instantly got hooked.  This is the coolest gift that I have ever gotten. Here is some of the video that I have taken…

Nike Air Monarch IV Sneakers are Junk!!!

Whatever you do, do not purchase Nike “Air Monarch” sneakers.  These sneakers are the biggest pieces of garbage that I have ever owned.  I purchased the pair that I currently have back in February, 2015.  I wear sneakers every day and having diabetes, I have to be very careful of the shoes that I wear.  Kohl’s is where I purchased my sneakers for about $50. I have now had the sneakers for four months and they squeak…  I mean like clown shoes.  I tried using talcum powder and it stopped…

The Dog Ate My Camera

I know, all of you teachers out there are just shaking your heads…  But it is true. I woke up to find out that Tuukka took the camera off of the kitchen table at 5:34am (I know this because the camera snapped a picture) and proceeded to chew through the metal lens of the camera, destroying it.  Once he did that, he realized that he was in trouble and then took the camera and “buried” in under the cushion on the sofa…

Waiting for some Lightning Storms

On average, the end of May and through the month of June here in Rhode Island is the strongest chance of strong to severe thunderstorms throughout the year.  This has not been the case over the past couple of years though. We usually get 1-2 “Severe” storms and then about 6-12 strong storms in the area.  But the past two years, we have not had any severe storms and only 3 or 4 strong storms. For some reason, the storms roar through Connecticut and once they hit the Rhode Island line, they either dissipate…

We made it through the Blizzard of 2015

Blizzard of 2015

After 31″ of snow, four hours of shoveling and numerous cups of hot chocolate, I think that I can safely say that we made it through the Blizzard of 2015 fine.  We sustained no damage to any of our property and did not loose power at all during the storm. As of 11:00am on Wed. January 28th our road is plowed (still covered with snow, but passable).  Most roads in Burrillville have been plowed and can be driven on without any major issues. Leigh and the girls did not have…

Santa’s Getting Ready

As Santa Claus is warming up his sleigh, Leigh and I are finishing up on the last minute Christmas touches.  After our last meeting with Santa, I think that he knows that the girls have been very good this year both at school and at home. We are looking forward to a quiet Christmas day at home with the girls this year.  After such a hectic Thanksgiving, it will be nice to have a quiet holiday.  We will be spending Christmas Eve with Leigh’s family, as we do each year.…
