When Buying a Vehicle, Stay Alert and Do Your Research…

If you’ve been following this blog, my podcast or even my daily vlog over the past several weeks, you know that I have been looking for a new truck.  I did not NEED a new truck, but my 2012 Chevy Colorado was going to need some maintenance repairs (breaks and tires) as it was approaching 60,000 miles. I started doing my research and I was originally going to replace my truck with a 2016 Colorado.  I was comfortable with my 2012 Colorado and thought that it would be an easy…

Dishonest Dealership

Imagine that, a dishonest car dealership…  Say it ain’t so! On Saturday, my wife and I decided that it was time for me to start looking for a new truck.  I currently drive a 2012 Chevy Colorado with almost 60,000 miles that is in excellent condition.  I know, most are saying that if it is in excellent condition, why do you want a new vehicle?  Saturday afternoon, I was asking myself the same question.  I was looking because my vehicle is currently out of warranty and I am going to…

PS4 Remote Play… Wicked Awesome

PS4 Remote Play

I don’t consider myself a hardcore gamer by any stretch of the imagination.  I prefer playing sports based games as a means to wind down after a long day or as a way to kill some time. I have a “man cave” in which I use as a retreat from the estrogen-laden house that I live.  My man cave allows me to not have to watch shows such as “Married at First Sight” or “Say Yes to the Dress”.  I can watch all the sports and SpikeTV™ shows that I…

I Refuse to Let Her Grow Up

How did this happen?  Just yesterday I was hearing “Daddy, do you want to play Legos with me”.  Today, Ashleigh is signing up for her High School classes… I won’t allow it!  No way!  My baby girl is not allowed to grow up and go to High School, I am not going to let her.  That’s it, she is punished… Yeah, that will work! I don’t think so.  I guess there is nothing that I can do to stop her from being the wonderful, beautiful, intelligent young woman that she is.…

Cold Weekend

Boy, was it a cold weekend here in the Northeast this weekend.  There were temperatures that hit low temperatures that we have not hit since the 1950’s.  Providence, RI reached -9°F on Sunday morning.  Temperatures are only suppose to reach 0°F on Monday morning. The good news is that temperatures are suppose to rebound as a coastal storm approaches the area on Tuesday with high temperatures in the area of 50°F… We go on a rollercoaster ride of temperatures for the next week.

Doctor’ Appointment

I finally broke down and made an appointment to see my doctor. I have now had this cold with cough since the first week of January. I have already done 10 days of antibiotics and there has been little change. Yesterday I started having trouble with my blood glucose levels. They were at 198 in the morning, which is very high. My glucose level then crashed in the afternoon to 72 (very low). The low level caused uncontrollable shaking of my hands and made me feel light-headed.  This is usually…

Leigh was right

I can’t believe that I am actually writing this, but, yes, Leigh was right. I have had a pretty bad cold for the past 2 weeks and it had settled into my chest and a pretty bad cough.  She kept on telling me to go see the doctor, which I hate doing.  After about a week of the cough, it had gotten to the point where I was not able to sleep and I was keeping Leigh up also.  As long as I am vertical, the cough is not that…

Head in the Cloud…

I have always considered myself to be somewhat of a TechnoGeek.  I have even started a website and YouTube channel called TechnoGeek (www.technogeek.video).  So when the opportunity came that I could own my own Personal Cloud Server and not have to pay $9.95/month to someone else, I jumped at it. Several years ago, I had purchased an Iomega personal cloud and I could never get it to work properly.  I was very unreliable when I was away from my network and even on my network, it would not always work.…

Flu Shot…

It’s been a while since I have posted anything in the Blog, sorry about that. With the holiday season upon us it has been nuts. I went for my annual checkup this week and it was actually good news, my glucose levels and A1C levels are all OK, but cholesterol is a little high, can’t be perfect. I also got the flu shot during the appointment. The shot is very important for diabetics so that they do not contract the influenza virus, which can cause all sorts of problems. The…

A quick post

It’s been a while since I posted anything here, so I thought I would get you up-to-date. We’re it’s been a while since I posted anything here, so I thought I would get you up-to-date. We’re getting into the winter months here but you wouldn’t know it by the temperatures. Normally at this time of year we should be in the 40s, but we have been regularly in the 60° range. I know that eventually mother nature will even things out, which I am not looking forward to. With about…
