After 31″ of snow, four hours of shoveling and numerous cups of hot chocolate, I think that I can safely say that we made it through the Blizzard of 2015 fine. We sustained no damage to any of our property and did not loose power at all during the storm.
As of 11:00am on Wed. January 28th our road is plowed (still covered with snow, but passable). Most roads in Burrillville have been plowed and can be driven on without any major issues.
Leigh and the girls did not have school on Tuesday or Wednesday due to the storm (which I don’t think they will complain.)
From what I have seen, the State of Rhode Island did an excellent job to get the roads back open and the state back to business as normal. Burrillville DPW did an awesome job plowing the roads and town government, including the Burrillville Police Department did a wonderful job keeping everyone up to date on what was going on and what to expect.
Today I am at work in Providence, RI. They did not do as well… The main roads in Providence are still snowpacked and some of the sidestreets are near impassable. But it is always this way when it snows in Providence.
All-in-all, I think that RI faired very well through this storm and I will be glad when it is June again.
